Weisin Chong is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in cloud security and software engineering. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer in Cloud Offensive Security at Okta, Inc. since December 2019, Weisin leads technical teams in cloud security assessments, security automation, and DevSecOps innovation. Previously, Weisin was a Lecturer at San Jose State University, instructing courses in software security engineering and advising Cybersecurity Master’s program projects. Prior experience includes a role as Security Engineering Tech Lead and Solutions Architect at Cisco, where Weisin focused on cloud security engineering and DevSecOps, as well as a Consulting Architect at Acumen Solutions and a Technical Lead & Architect at Philips Semiconductors. Weisin holds a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master's degree in Software Engineering with a focus on Cybersecurity from San José State University.
