Xige Yang

Xige Yang is currently a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Okta, a position held since August 2025. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Tiger Analytics from March 2023 to August 2025 and as an Applied Scientist at Amazon between April 2019 and February 2023, focusing on ML models and data analysis utilizing various advanced techniques. Xige has also worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Ohio State University’s MBI for a brief period in late 2018, applying data-driven algorithms to solve industrial differential equations. Academic roles prior to that include Research Associate and Graduate Teaching Associate at The Ohio State University, specializing in predictive modeling and machine learning in physiology and neuroscience. Early career experience includes a position as a Software Engineer at Tencent, focusing on frontend and backend game development. Xige Yang holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from The Ohio State University and a BS in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from Zhejiang University.
