OL Reign
Shae Holmes is a professional soccer player currently playing for Seattle Reign FC and OL Reign since January and March 2023, respectively. Previously, Shae completed an internship with UW Athletics, focusing on research regarding Pac-12 student athletes and their perspectives on sustainability and climate change. Additional experience includes serving as a summer camp counselor for UW Husky Soccer, where responsibilities involved supervising middle school students and developing soccer-related activities, and as an assistant coach for a varsity high school girls' soccer team. Earlier roles include working as a receptionist at CACTUS SPORT & SPINE, PC, and volunteering with The Everett and Austin Project, Inc. Shae holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from the University of Washington.
OL Reign
OL Reign (originally Seattle Reign FC) was established in 2012 as a founding member of the National Women’s Soccer League. The nine-team NWSL is widely considered to be the most competitive women’s professional soccer league in the world. Over its first seven seasons the club twice captured the NWSL Shield while making four appearances in the NWSL postseason. In 2019 the club was acquired by Olympique Lyonnaise, one of Europe’s most iconic football clubs.
