Amitav Basak

Amitav Basak has a diverse work experience spanning over various companies and roles. Amitav started their career as a Management Trainee in Marico Ltd. and went on to work as an Area Sales Manager in the same company. Amitav then joined PepsiCo, where they held positions such as Marketing Manager and General Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for managing regional sales, implementing IT systems, and handling marketing activities. After PepsiCo, they worked at IFFCO as the Head of Sales for their Emirates Refining division and later as the CEO of the Frozen Foods Division. Amitav'sresponsibilities included managing large teams, developing competitive advantages, and achieving profit targets. Most recently, Amitav worked as the Business Head and VP of Olam Ghana Limited, where they led the Culinary Business division.

Amitav Basak completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Marketing from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune, from 1994 to 1996. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from Maharashtra Institute of Technology, from 1989 to 1994. In 2013, they attended INSEAD for a short program called TGM: Transition to General Management, where they studied Business Strategy, Finance, Marketing, and Supply chain.
