Robert Powers

Robert Powers is a Charles Bessey Professor of Chemistry at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where Robert has served since July 2003. In addition to this role, Robert Powers is the Director of the Systems Biology Core at the Nebraska Center for Integrated Biomolecular Communication. Concurrently, Robert Powers serves as a Scientific Advisor for both Olaris, Inc. and Nexomics Biosciences since 2019. Previous academic roles include serving as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at The University of South Dakota and New York Medical College. Notable industry experience includes a tenure as Associate Director of a protein NMR structural biology group at Wyeth Research from 1992 to 2002. Robert Powers holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Purdue University and has completed post-doctoral training at the National Institutes of Health, specializing in NMR structural biology.
