Mothibi Thibedi

Mothibi Thibedi currently serves as a VAT Controller at Old Mutual Limited since August 2019 and has also been a Tax Manager at PwC since August 2015. With a strong background in tax management, Mothibi's expertise includes drafting opinions, objections, and appeals for clients, conducting tax reviews and due diligence reviews, and liaising with the South African Revenue Service (SARS) on behalf of clients. Prior experience includes serving as a Tax Specialist at Alexander Forbes, where responsibilities involved various tax computations and submissions to SARS, as well as acting as a tax liaison for the annuity and claims departments. Mothibi began a career in tax consulting at Deloitte, focusing on indirect tax activities. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Financial Management from UNISA, a Bachelor of Commerce in Taxation from the University of Cape Town, and Mothibi is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Bcom Taxation at the University of Cape Town.
