Stephen Walker

Stephen Walker possesses extensive experience in actuarial roles, currently serving as the Valuator and Head of the Actuarial Team at Old Mutual since October 2013, overseeing regulatory valuations for trustees and stakeholders. Previously, Stephen held the position of Senior Manager of Financial Reporting at Legal and General, managing a large financial reporting department and addressing financial discrepancies. As Divisional Director and Consulting Actuary at NBC Holdings, Stephen acted as the main Fund Valuator, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements for retirement funds. Early career roles included Actuarial Consultant at QED Actuaries & Consultants and Actuarial Assistant at Metropolitan, focusing on pension fund valuation work. Stephen holds a Master of Science in Actuarial Science from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Bachelor of Business Science (Honours) Post-Graduate Diploma in Actuarial Science from the University of Cape Town.
