Irena B. has a strong background in technology leadership and business enablement. Irena worked as the Vice President Technology Infrastructure at OLG, where they were responsible for ensuring collaboration and integration between the corporate business units and the technology division. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President Business Enablement at OLG, where they facilitated the delivery of complex digital and technology solutions. Before joining OLG, Irena was the Chief Technology Officer at Accentuate Inc, where they provided technology consulting and enterprise software solutions to corporate clients. Irena also served as the CIO at Sunwing Travel Group, where they led the realignment of the technology organization with the company's business objectives. Additionally, Irena held the role of Senior Vice President Business Technology at Carlson Marketing Canada, where they led the vision and implementation of corporate strategy, technology, security, and governance. Irena began their career as a Senior Manager Technology at JPMorgan Chase & Co, where they played a key role in developing and supporting the Canadian implementation of the corporate international bond trading systems.

Irena B. completed their Honours 4 year Co-Op program in Computer Science and Information Technology at Seneca Polytechnic from 1989 to 1993. Irena pursued further education at the University of Toronto from 1996 to 2000, earning a Bachelor Degree in Economics with a focus on Economics, Business Management, and Data Analytics.
