Sofia Martinez is a seasoned chemical engineer with substantial experience in quality coordination, production engineering, and process improvement at Olin since July 2020. Previous roles include webmaster for the University of Houston chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and treasurer for the Omega Chi Epsilon Chemical Engineering Honor Society. As a resident advisor at the University of Houston, Sofia played a key role in guiding student learning and fostering community. Internship experiences include a production engineering internship at Monument Chemical and a global HyCO plant design internship at Praxair, Inc., where significant contributions included implementing engineering standards and ensuring regulatory compliance. Sofia holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Houston, earned in May 2020.
