José Serra's work experience includes a variety of roles in different organizations.
José is currently an Angel Investor at AngelsWay, a community-driven investor focused on Portuguese-based early-stage startups that use technology to make a positive impact on the world.
Prior to this, José was the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Olisipo Way, an Early Stage Venture Firm that invests in innovative and international technology companies.
José also co-founded Silveiratech - Re_generation Village, a project focused on rehabilitating an ancient ruined village in Portugal to create a technological hub that promotes human reconnection, creativity, and regeneration.
In addition, José was a Co-Founder of Cerdeira - Home for Creativity, a community of arts that provides unique experiences and art courses, and the CEO & Partner of Olisipo - Formação e Consultoria, S.A., an outsourcing company specializing in Information Technology and Communication.
José also worked as the Editor in Chief of Interface magazine, which targeted key decision-makers in technology, management, and organizational innovation.
Before that, José was the Managing Partner at Grupo Algebrica, where they launched several specialist media publications in various industries.
José started their career at the Lisbon City Council, where they served as the Deputy Coordinator of Lisbon's Festival and contributed to the organization and launch of cultural events.
José's expertise and experience span various sectors, including technology, entrepreneurship, creativity, and cultural events. José has made significant contributions to the Portuguese entrepreneurial ecosystem and the development of innovative projects.
José Serra obtained an EMBA degree in Business Administration from ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, completing their studies from 2007 to 2008. Earlier in their educational journey, they pursued a Master's degree in Journalism at the Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) from 1981 to 1986.
