Amanda Rich has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. In 1998, they began their career at Pfizer as a Technical Writer in Quality Assurance Product Stability. Amanda later moved up to the role of Senior Technical Writer and eventually became a Senior Supervisor in Quality Assurance Product Stability. In these roles, they led Lean Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
In 2012, Amanda joined MilliporeSigma as a Global Program Manager in the Downstream Processing Division. Amanda partnered with the Director of Materials Technology to develop and launch a new data quality program, authoring a new global governance policy and standardized procedures.
Continuing their career in environmental research, Amanda founded their own consulting firm, Rich Analytics, LLC, in 2017. The firm specializes in environmental research, offering services such as data collation, regulatory review, auditing, and vulnerability/gap assessments. Amanda conducted research and data compilation for a leading offshore wind development company for a large-scale offshore wind energy project.
At the same time, Amanda also co-founded Speak for the Trees Boston, a nonprofit organization. As the Program Director, they collaborated with various partners to achieve a 35% tree coverage in environmental justice areas of Boston. Amanda managed all legal, operational, financial, and reporting requirements and oversaw grant fulfillment from conception to completion.
Amanda's educational background includes completing a master's degree at Harvard University with a concentration in Corporate Responsibility, Carbon Footprinting, and Life Cycle Assessment. During their studies, they conducted an assessment of Boston's Climate Action Plan and presented a plan to standardize tree placement, species, and site selection.
Most recently, Amanda worked at OLLY PBC as a Product Stability and Lifecycle Management Scientist. Amanda played a key role in designing, configuring, validating, and launching the company's new PLM system. Amanda digitized over 200 formulas and specifications to a centralized system and collaborated with the Leadership Team to implement a stability program.
Amanda Rich has pursued their education in various fields. Amanda obtained a Masters of Liberal Arts degree in Sustainability and Environmental Management from Harvard University. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Rochester Institute of Technology. Amanda further expanded their knowledge by completing a Master of Science degree in Forensic Science at Virginia Commonwealth University.
