Stephen Cairns

Stephen Cairns has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Stephen currently serves as the Head of Development at OLM Systems since January 2019. Prior to this role, they were the Senior Product Manager at OLM Group from 2017 to 2019. In 2016, they worked as an Oracle Developer at Alpha Insight. Stephen spent a significant portion of their career at CACI Ltd, holding various roles. From 2014 to 2016, they were the Head of Production, responsible for achieving financial targets and managing the production process. As a Solution Architect from 2011 to 2014, they ensured that the product portfolio met the strategic needs of the business. Additionally, as a Principal Architect from 2007 to 2011, they led product development and supervised the integration of acquired software. Prior to CACI Ltd, Stephen was the Technical Director at Arete Software Ltd, where they played a key role in increasing company turnover and managing a growing development team. Stephen started their career as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Reading from 1994 to 1999.

Stephen Cairns completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Central Lancashire between 1987 and 1990. Stephen then pursued further education and obtained a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Leicester between 1990 and 1994.
