John Mayford serves as the Executive Associate and CEO at Olmec since November 2009, focusing on promoting race equality through economic and social justice. Under John's leadership, Olmec assists individuals with job placement and provides business advisory services for co-operatives and social enterprises, and has launched significant projects such as the Bronze Woman Monument Project. Additional roles include John’s involvement with the Black on Board Committee and being a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Previous experience includes coordination roles in community initiatives and business support for BAMER and female-led co-operatives. John received education from Brighton Polytechnic and Hailsham Comprehensive School.
