Nicholas Serrano

Nicholas Serrano has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Nicholas is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at OLOS TECNOLOGIA since June 2021. Prior to that, they were a Professor at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo starting from March 2018.

Nicholas has held significant positions at Grupo Perfil, where they worked from October 2016 to May 2021. Nicholas initially served as the Diretor de Tecnologia e Estratégia Digital, overseeing technology, digital platforms, data (BI), and digital advertising. In this role, they managed a team of 22 internal and external collaborators responsible for developing technological solutions, cloud infrastructure, web publishing systems, and managing digital advertising inventory and profitability for 21 websites. Nicholas later became the Head de Tecnologia e Produtos Digitais, where they led the development of a new technological platform supporting CARAS and the renewal of CARAS Brasil's portal. Additionally, they successfully migrated and launched 17 brands from Grupo Abril to Editora CARAS.

Before their time at Grupo Perfil, Nicholas worked at Grupo Estado (S/A O Estado de São Paulo) as the Diretor de Estratégia Digital from January 2010 to May 2012, and as the Gerente de Tecnologia e Produtos Digitais from May 2006 to December 2009.

Nicholas'scareer also includes founding Accelera Technologies and working as the Co-Founder from 2002 to 2006. Nicholas served as the Diretor de SAP NetWeaver at Agile Solutions from February 2003 to December 2004. Additionally, they worked as the Country Manager / CIO at LuminaAmericas Inc. from 2000 to 2002 and as a Senior Consultant at Promon Tecnologia from 1999 to 2000.

Nicholas has a strong background in technology and systems. Nicholas started their career at UOL (Universo Online S/A) in January 1996 as an Arquiteto BI, Analyst de Sistemas, and Database Administrator until January 1999. Nicholas also worked as a Desenvolvedor/Arquiteto at Stefanini Brasil from April 1994 to January 1996.

Nicholas Serrano's education history begins with a degree in Business Administration and Management from Alliance Manchester Business School, which they obtained from 2012 to 2014. Nicholas then pursued further education in the field of technology and obtained a Master's degree in Industry 4.0 from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo from 2019 to 2020.

Prior to that, Nicholas obtained a degree in Economics from the School of Economics, Business and Accounting at the University of São Paulo, which they completed from 2011 to 2015. In 2010, they attended The Wharton School for an Executive program in Innovation Strategies for New Markets.

Additionally, Nicholas Serrano has certifications in the field of software development, including being a Microsoft Certified Professional (Software Development) obtained in June 1996, and an Oracle Certified Administrator and Oracle Certified Developer obtained in January 1996.

Nicholas'searlier education includes attending Escola Politécnica da USP from 1991 to 1997 for Mechanical Engineering, although the degree obtained is not specified.
