Gautam Thakar is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across various sectors, particularly in the technology and media industries. Currently serving as Global CEO of Edtech at Prosus Group since September 2023 and Global CEO of OLX Autos and Emerging Markets at OLX Group since March 2021, Gautam oversees a diverse portfolio of companies globally. Additionally, as a Venture Partner at NextGen Venture Partners, Gautam supports early-stage startups through deal assessment and founder mentorship. Noteworthy past positions include President & CEO of Star Sports at The Walt Disney Company, President & CEO of LivingSocial, and leading roles at eBay Inc. and Shopping.com, where responsibilities spanned global strategy, marketing, and operational management. Gautam holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Economics from Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics.
