Miguel Chin

Miguel Chin is a seasoned data engineering professional with extensive experience in developing and managing data infrastructures. Currently serving as Data Engineering Manager and previously as Senior Data Engineer at OLX since October 2015, Miguel has been instrumental in building and maintaining a comprehensive data stack for the online classifieds business utilizing AWS services such as Redshift, S3, and Athena. Prior roles include Data Engineer at Growin, where Miguel focused on Business Intelligence for OLX - Fixeads, and Big Data Engineer at Portugal Telecom - Portal Sapo, where responsibilities included data mining and ETL development for MEO Analytics. Early career experiences include a trainee position at Portugal Telecom, along with a role as Telecommunications Engineering Consultant at Celfinet, engaging in quality of service benchmarking for mobile network operators. Miguel holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico.
