George Benos

George Benos has a diverse work experience spanning over the past 24 years. Most recently, they held the role of COO / CFO at OLYRA since February 2017. Prior to that, they served as the Commercial & Business Development Director at FLOURMILLS THRAKIS I.OUZOUNOPOULOS SA from February 2014 to January 2017.

George has also held various positions at Lafarge, including Country Marketing Director from April 2012 to December 2013, Commercial Director from January 2011 to March 2012, Strategy Director from April 2010 to December 2010, Restructuring Project Director from January 2009 to March 2010, and Financial Control Manager from August 2007 to December 2008.

Before joining Lafarge, George worked as the Manufacturing Performance Manager from 2006 to 2007 and the SOx Project Manager from 2004 to 2005. George also served as the Capex & Subsidiaries Controller at Lafarge from 2003 to 2004. Prior to Lafarge, George worked at Unilever as the New Projects Manager from 1997 to 2001.

George Benos completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from SDA Bocconi in the year 2002. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering, earning an Msc from Imperial College London between 1991 and 1995. Their earlier education includes the completion of a High School Equivalence Certificate Program from Hellenic American Educational Foundation Athens College - Psychico College, which took place from 1979 to 1990. Since no degree name is provided for this program, it can be assumed that they obtained a high school equivalence certificate.
