Kevin Cunningham has a diverse work experience in the IT industry. Kevin started their career as a Systems Engineer at Standard Life in 2003 and worked there until 2007. During this time, they gained expertise in client/server infrastructure.
From 2009 to 2010, Kevin worked as a Windows Client\\Server Infrastructure Engineer at Heineken UK, where they provided maintenance and support consultancy across Windows desktop and server platforms. Kevin implemented new Windows 2008 Group Policy features and performed various other tasks such as NT4 to Active Directory migrations and updating group policy.
In 2010, Kevin joined Standard Life again, this time as an Active Directory Engineer. Kevin played a crucial role in securing access control across the Windows server estate within an identity management-driven environment. Kevin also provided consultancy for a large-scale migration from Novell eDirectory to Microsoft Windows Active Directory.
From 2011 to 2014, Kevin worked as an Infrastructure Engineering Consultant at Heineken UK (contracting), where they provided infrastructure engineering consultancy for projects such as Active Directory user account audit and cleanup, Genesys server virtualization, MobileIron implementation for iPad solutions, and Active Directory migration from 2003 to 2008 forest.
Kevin then joined Shepherd and Wedderburn in 2014 as an IT Infrastructure Consultant, where they designed and implemented a migration to the vSphere 5.1 farm on IBM Flex and performed a migration from 2003 to 2012r2 server estate.
In 2016, Kevin joined RBS as an Active Directory and Cloud SME. Kevin worked on a large active directory transformation project for the RBS branch estate, designing and deploying an AD resource domain to AWS.
Starting from 2019, Kevin worked at Standard Life Assurance (part of Phoenix Group Careers) as an Identity Management Consultant until 2020. Kevin then joined Phoenix Group in 2020 as a Senior Technician in Identity/Security, where they worked with products such as microfocus/netIQ IDM and CyberArk in the security and IAM space.
Most recently, starting in 2023, Kevin is working at Omada as a Senior Consultant.
Kevin Cunningham earned their Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Mathematical Physics from The University of Edinburgh. Kevin attended the university from 1999 to 2002. In addition to their formal education, Kevin has obtained several certifications, including "JavaScript Essential Training", "Web Security: OAuth and OpenID Connect", "How to Use LinkedIn Learning", "Microsoft SQL Server 2022 Essential Training", "Omada Certified Implementation Consultant", and "AWS Certified Solutions Architect- Associate".
