Alexander Stein began their career in 1991 as a Principal Engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation. Alexander then co-founded FarSight Financial Services in 1995 and served as the company's SVP Sales & Marketing. In 1997, they co-founded Gomez Advisors, where they served as Head of Research.

In 2001, Stein became the CEO of Gomez, Inc., the leading Internet Performance Management Company. Taking over as the Internet economy crashed has forced us to build a bullet proof business plan and execute with focus. Today Gomez is thriving and we are creating real investor value.

In 2007, Stein joined Two Sigma Investments as Managing Director, Global Head Alpha Capture, GM Equity Trading, Entrepreneur in Residence. Alexander built the leading global alpha capture strategy focused on identifying and using qualitative investment ideas in a systematic investment platform. Alexander also co-launched Venn, a factor-based client services platform.

Alexander Stein received their PhD in EECS from Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to that, they completed their AB, BS, and MS in engineering and liberal arts from Dartmouth College.
