Lori McLeod has a diverse work experience spanning from 1999 to the present. Lori is currently serving as the Vice President of Strategic Communications at OMERS since January 2021. Previous to that, they worked at Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan as the Director of External Communications from December 2016 to January 2021. Lori also held positions at OMERS as the Vice President of Communications & Media Relations from January 2015 to December 2016, and as the Director of Media Relations from 2010 to 2015. In addition, they have worked as the Manager of Communications at CPPIB in 2010, as a Media Relations Officer at Ornge from 2009 to 2010, as a Reporter at The Globe and Mail from 2007 to 2009, as a Reporter at National Post from 2005 to 2007, and as the Managing Editor at Business News Network from 1999 to 2005.

Lori McLeod began their education journey at McMaster University from 1988 to 1991. There, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on Philosophy. Following their undergraduate studies, they enrolled at Carleton University from 1996 to 1998, where they obtained a Master's degree in Journalism.
