Michael Russell

Michael Russell currently serves as the Lead Pensions Data Governance at OMERS since January 2024. Prior to this role, Michael was the Director of Business Analysis & Process Optimization at CAPREIT from January 2022 to October 2023. Michael has extensive experience within the Ontario Pension Board (OPB) from 2015 to 2022, where responsibilities included managing business analysis and leading Lean Six Sigma practices. Earlier in his career, Michael spent over 16 years at the Ontario Trillium Foundation, holding various positions that involved project management, application development, and IT administration. Michael holds a MIS degree from Western University and an Honours B.A. from McMaster University.
