Rory Sun

Rory Sun is a seasoned professional in internal audit and investment management with a strong background in various financial sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Investment Business Units at OMERS since April 2022, Rory oversees audit portfolios for multiple investment divisions, including Capital Markets, Infrastructure, and Private Equity, while reporting directly to the Chief Audit Executive. Previously, Rory held the position of Senior Manager in Internal Audit at CIBC from May 2015 to March 2022, leading audits for senior-level organizations across Canada, the US, and the UK, and actively participating as a member of the People Advisory Committee. Rory also brings experience from PwC, where exemplary performance was demonstrated in insurance and asset management assurance. Educational qualifications include an MBA from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology from The University of Hong Kong, and an exchange program in German and International Politics at the University of Zurich.
