Suzanne Bakewell has a long history of work experience in research and development. Suzanne began their career in 2000 as a Doctoral Candidate at Washington University in St. Louis. In 2004, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Naval Postgraduate School. In 2005, they became a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. From 2010 to 2018, they worked at Intezyne Technologies as a Senior Scientist, Manager of Preclinical Development, and Vice President of Preclinical Development. In 2018, they became the Principal Consultant at Beeston Biotech Consulting, LLC. In 2020, they became the Chief Compliance Officer at Liberty BioSecurity, LLC. Most recently, in 2021, they became the Vice President of Research and Development and Chief Scientific Officer at Omeza.
Suzanne Bakewell has a diverse educational background. Suzanne completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Oncology and Cancer Biology from the University of Pennsylvania from 2005-2009. Suzanne also obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physiology, General from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Physiology, General from Washington University in St. Louis between 2000-2003. Additionally, they hold a Health, Safety and Environment Graduate Certificate from USF College of Public Health.
