Dave Lagassa

Dave LaGassa has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Dave currently serves as the Head of Data Science at OneMain Financial. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Vice President - Consumer Lending and Insight at Diamond Resorts®, where they successfully transformed the financial services vertical. Dave also worked at Capital One for many years, holding various leadership positions such as Financial Services Divisional Data Officer and Senior Credit Officer. During their time at Capital One, they were responsible for driving data science, data management, and credit strategy initiatives. Dave LaGassa commenced their career in the United States Navy as a Nuclear Submarine Officer, where they received multiple Navy Achievement medals for their exceptional performance.

Dave LaGassa attended the United States Naval Academy from 1987 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering. Dave then went on to complete the United States Naval Nuclear Engineer Officer Training from 1991 to 1994, focusing on nuclear engineering and reactor operations.
