Richard Birnbaum

Richard Birnbaum, CPA/MS, is an accomplished tax professional with extensive experience in corporate income tax compliance and financial reporting. Currently serving as a Senior Tax Analyst at OneMain Financial since March 2014, Richard manages federal and state corporate tax compliance and audits for a major NYSE-listed financial services firm. Prior to this role, Richard worked at The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America from 1992 to 2013 as the Lead Federal Tax & Financial Reporting Analyst, where responsibilities included IRS tax audits, compliance, and tax planning. Earlier in Richard's career, experience as a Junior Tax Accountant at Merrill Lynch involved the preparation of tax filings for a company with a significant international presence. Richard holds an Executive Master’s of Science in Taxation from Baruch College and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northeastern University.
