Anamitra Deb

Anamitra Deb has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Anamitra started their career at Monitor Deloitte in 2005, where they served as an Associate Partner. During their time at Monitor Deloitte, they played a crucial role in establishing and leading the Monitor Inclusive Markets practice, which focused on finding and implementing solutions to poverty in multiple countries. In 2013, they joined Omidyar Network as the Global Lead for Intellectual Capital, where they contributed to addressing pressing issues related to technology and society. Anamitra later became the Global Co-Lead and then the Managing Director of Responsible Tech, overseeing initiatives related to platform accountability, privacy, data, disinformation, and safety on encrypted messaging platforms. Anamitra Deb also serves as a Board Member for the Center for Media Engagement at the University of Texas at Austin and is an Advisory Council member for the Digital Lab at Consumer Reports.

Anamitra Deb has a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Economics from Mount Allison University. They also hold a Master of Science degree in both Environmental Change & Management and Forced Migration from the University of Oxford. Additionally, they completed their International Baccalaureate at Lester B Pearson United World College.
