Gretchen Phillips

Gretchen Phillips is the current Chief of Staff at Omidyar Network. Gretchen has held this position since July 2018. Prior to that, they were the Chief Executive Officer at GenerationHope, Inc. from November 2014 to July 2018. Gretchen has also worked as a Senior Advisor on Development and Foreign Assistance at the U.S. Department of State from May 2013 to July 2014, as an Advisor at TechnoServe from February 2012 to December 2012, and as the Director of Strategy at Professional Assistance For Development Action (PRADAN) from July 2009 to December 2011. Gretchen began their career working in the financial sector as an Analyst in Debt Capital Markets at Goldman Sachs from August 2000 to July 2002. Gretchen then transitioned to management consulting and worked as a Senior Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company from February 2005 to July 2009 before taking on their current role.

Gretchen Phillips received their Master of Public Administration from Harvard University Kennedy School of Government. Gretchen also received an AB from Duke University.
