Shirin Etessam has over 12 years of experience in the media industry. Shirin began their career in 2008 as a Content Strategy and Production Services for CBS Interactive. In 2009, they founded OML TV, and in 2010 they began working as a Line Producer for PRN and a Show Producer for Indigo Films. In 2011, they were hired as the Vice President of Production & Content for Joyus, and in 2015 they were hired as the Vice President of Production for Pedersen Media Group. In 2017, they founded Slay Agency and served as the Content and Creative Chief. In 2021, they became the Co-Founder and Executive Producer of Thornbyrd Films, a Contributor for the Rolling Stone Culture Council, and a Contributor for Forbes Communications Council.
Shirin Etessam attended San Francisco State University from 1990 to 1994, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Film and Broadcasting.
