VP of Cloud Architecture at Omnilert

John Gordon has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. John is currently the VP of Cloud Architecture at Omnilert, where they are leading efforts to bring cloud management to the AI visual gun detection platform. John is also responsible for managing releases of the Gun Detection platform and improving its scalability and performance.

Prior to their current role, John served as the President of Bayport Owners' Association in 2021. From 2019 to 2022, they held the position of VP of Development and Architecture at Pareteum Corporation.

Before that, John had a significant tenure at Devicescape Software, Inc. John first served as the Chief Technology Officer, where they ensured the integration of the company's product suite, provided technical support to sales and marketing teams, and addressed consumer questions and issues. Subsequently, they served as the Chief Architect and Systems Architect, assuming similar responsibilities along with inventing and building a patent-pending public hotspot login technology for mobile devices.

Earlier in their career, John worked at Wind River Systems as a Senior Member of Technical Staff and Racal Radar Defence Systems as a Senior Development Engineer. At Racal Radar Defence Systems, they contributed to software development for electronic warfare systems deployed with the Royal Navy, overseeing software architecture and customization for custom hardware.

John's work experience demonstrates a strong technical background and leadership skills across various domains, including cloud architecture, development, and systems engineering.

John Gordon attended the University of Kent from 1989 to 1993, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng.) (Honors) degree in Computer Systems Engineering with a focus on Informatics - French. John also spent a year studying at Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) in 1991-1992, earning a Licence degree in Informatique. Before their university education, John attended Whitgift School in Croydon from 1981 to 1988, focusing on Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science. In terms of additional certifications, John Gordon became a Chartered Engineer (CEng) through The Engineering Council in June 1998. John also became a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) in the same month and year.
