James Li

Senior Operation Director at OmniVision Technologies

James Li has a strong background in the semiconductor industry, with extensive experience in lithography engineering and management roles. James started their career at SMIC as a Lithography Process Engineer and then moved on to X-FAB Semiconductor Foundries as a Lithography Senior Engineer. At X-FAB, they were responsible for new product transfer, process setup, and key projects in lithography. James then joined GSMC as a Lithography R&D Principle Engineer, where they handled evaluation of new photo resist, photo mask, and photo tool technologies, as well as process development and technology transfer. After that, they joined Intel Corporation and held various roles including Lithography Engineering Manager, Litho Area Manager, and CMP Engineering Director. In these positions, they supported the transfer of process technology, managed engineering teams, and tackled technical issues and quality excursions. Most recently, they joined OMNIVISION as a Senior Operation Director, leading a business unit focused on color filter and micro lens for CIS fabrication. In this role, they manage all aspects of the business unit, including process engineering, equipment engineering, process integration engineering, manufacturing engineering, and automation engineering, while also driving advanced technology development.

James Li attended Tongji University from 1997 to 2001, where they obtained a bachelor's degree in Material Science and Technology.
