Tom Svilans

Tom Svilans is the current CTO of Omtre AS and a Research Fellow at the Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen, Denmark, where they develop solutions for digital design, construction, and manufacturing of timber projects. They focus on the integration of imaging and communication technologies within the timber value chain, enhancing design intelligence and fabrication methods. Tom holds a PhD from the Royal Danish Academy, achieved as part of the EU-funded InnoChain research network, and has taught across various prestigious institutions, including the Bartlett School of Architecture and the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia. Tom's work has been widely presented and published internationally.
