Matty B.

Matty B. has a wealth of experience in the technology and design industry. Matty began their career in 1997 as a Conceptual Designer at LEGO Group. In 2000, they moved to Philips Research as a Senior Scientist, where they were the Project Leader of the Wearable Electronics Research Lab. In 2004, Matty B. co-founded JKID ltd, a technology, product and brand invention company, where they were the Director and licensed generated intellectual property to multinational toy companies. In 2012, they joined Jakks Pacific as Senior Vice President, leading the formation of the DreamPlay division and integrating digital content and Augmented Reality into new and existing product lines. In 2016, they became a Technology Consultant at MBIP.LLC, conducting patent analysis and I.P. generation for international clients focused on next generation tobacco and cannabis technologies. Most recently, in 2018, Matty B. was appointed Chief Technology Officer at Omura, a technology and design brand focused on perfecting the whole flower Heat-Not-Burn experience.

Matty B. attended Brunel University London from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a BSc. 1st Class Honours in Industrial Design.
