Brigitte Bichler

Brigitte Bichler is currently the Head of Group Sustainability at OMV Group, overseeing the Sustainability Department with a focus on Climate & Environment, Social Responsibility, and ESG disclosure. Bichler has an extensive career at OMV, having held various leadership roles including Head of Carbon, Energy & ESG Management, Senior Advisor Environment, and Head of Environmental Management, where responsibilities encompassed carbon strategy development, GHG emissions reduction, and sustainability reporting. Prior experience includes roles at OMV Gas & Power as Corporate Social Responsibility Manager and as an Environmental Expert at OMV Austria Exploration & Production GmbH. Bichler's career began at Umweltbundesamt, contributing to EU-related projects and waste management initiatives. Academically, Bichler holds an MBA in Energy Management, a MAS in Interdisciplinary Balkan Studies, and a Master of Engineering in Industrial Environmental Protection.
