Edward Bates has extensive experience in information management and geospatial data, currently serving as the Department Manager of Information Management at OMV since January 2019, after holding the role of Information Management Lead. Prior positions include Geomatics and Technical Data Management Lead at Shell Todd Oil Services from January 2017 to December 2019, and Geoinformation Technical Data Manager at Shell from February 2012 to December 2016. Edward began a career at ExxonMobil as a GIS Consultant from July 2006 to January 2012, following a role as GIS Administrator at Wellington City Council from 2001 to 2005. Edward holds a Graduate Diploma in GIS from Massey University and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Geography from Victoria University of Wellington.
