James Hare has extensive experience in asset operations and commercial management within the energy sector, currently serving as Head of Department Asset Operations NZ at OMV since March 2006. Previous roles at OMV include Commercial & Insurance Manager, Head of Commercial & Legal for the Middle East & Africa, and Asset Manager for notable projects such as the Wisting oil discovery in the Barents Sea and the Maari Oil Field in Taranaki. Prior to OMV, James was a Fuels Trader at Contact Energy Ltd from September 2000 to March 2006. James holds a degree in Commerce with a focus on Economics and Marketing from the University of Canterbury, attended from 1992 to 1994, and completed secondary education at Wanganui Collegiate from 1986 to 1990.
