Josef Rath

Josef Rath currently serves as the Senior Vice President Base Chemicals Business at OMV Group, a position held since July 2005. With full accountability for group-wide management and strategic development of fuel and petrochemical sales, responsibilities include optimizing profits and costs across OMV and Petrom. Previously, Josef Rath held various roles within OMV, including Vice President of Petrochemicals and Special Product Sales, Head of International Supply, Pricing and Fuel Sales to International Oil Companies, and Head of Downstream Strategy. Prior experience includes a managerial role in post-merger integration at OMV Petrom and positions focused on controlling and refinery process optimization at OMV. Josef Rath holds a PhD in Technical Chemistry from Technische Universität Wien and a Master's degree from the University of Cambridge.
