Mark Hearn

Mark Hearn is a seasoned geoscientist with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as a Senior Development Geologist at OMV since April 2023, overseeing the Pohokura Field. Hearn has provided consultancy services in geoscience with Nisku Consulting Limited, offering geological evaluations and interpretations. Previously, Hearn held significant roles at Todd Energy, where responsibilities included managing a production geoscience team and leading exploration strategies in the Taranaki Basin, as well as contributing to the economic assessment of various opportunities at Repsol. Hearn's career also includes a substantial tenure at Talisman Energy, where leadership in exploration and appraisal geology was demonstrated across multiple international projects. Hearn's academic qualifications include an M.Sc. in Geology from the University of Alberta and a B.Sc. in Geology from the University of Southampton.
