Mate Barnabas

Mate Barnabas is a seasoned project management professional with extensive experience in the chemical and oil refining industries. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager at OMV since August 2020, previous roles include Project Manager at LANXESS and Shell from 2011 to 2020, where responsibilities encompassed brownfield project development, CAPEX project execution, and managing significant project portfolios. At Shell, key contributions included overseeing projects from early development through to commissioning, leading diverse project teams, and implementing pipeline integrity management systems. Mate holds a Dipl.-Ing. in Mechanical Engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Carl Benz School of Engineering at the University of Karlsruhe (TH).
