Matt Patton

Matt Patton is a seasoned security professional with extensive experience in global operations and protective intelligence. Currently serving as a Global Operations Specialist and Senior Expert in Protective Intelligence & Operational Support at OMV since January 2020, Patton previously held the position of Senior Security Advisor for the Jamati National Council for Afghanistan, where responsibilities included developing security programs and crisis management plans during heightened threats from Daesh/Islamic State. Prior roles include General Manager at New Derin Group, where operational budgets were managed, and Security Manager at Gulf Keystone Petroleum Ltd, where security strategies were crafted for upstream projects amid challenging conditions. Patton also served as Project Security Manager for Control Risks Group and Parsons, and held the rank of Major in the British Army, culminated with military training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
