Peter Pirkner

Peter Pirkner is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in human resources and organizational development. Currently serving as Senior Vice President People & Culture at OMV since October 2021, Pirkner also operates as an Executive Management Consultant at PirknerConsulting. Previous roles include CHRO and Senior Director of Human Resources & Internal Communications at A1 Telekom Austria AG, Associate Partner at EY, and Head of Group HR at ÖBB. Pirkner has held significant positions in the railway sector, such as HR Chairman of CER, and has been instrumental as Managing Director of ÖBB-Shared Service Center GmbH. With a strong educational background that includes an MBA from UMN Carlson School of Management and the University of Vienna, along with a Master’s degree from WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business), Pirkner brings valuable expertise to the field of people and culture.
