Philipp Thaller

Philipp Thaller is a Senior Expert in Cyber Defense at OMV, where responsibilities include Threat Intelligence, Hunting, and Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) since January 2020. Previously, Philipp served as the Head of Unit Incident Response Forensics and Security Analyst in the Cyber Defence Command at Österreichisches Bundesheer from December 2013 to December 2019. Earlier experience includes a role as a System Engineer at Unycom from June 2011 to November 2013. Philipp holds a Master's degree in Advanced Security Engineering from FH Joanneum (2011-2013), a Semester Abroad in Computer Security and Digital Forensics from Letterkenny Institute of Technology (2010-2011), a Bachelor's degree in IT-Security from FH St. Pölten – University of Applied Sciences (2008-2011), and an Engineer's degree from HTBLuVA Pinkafeld (2003-2008).
