Liqiang Yang

Liqiang Yang is a seasoned professional in the field of power devices and modules, currently serving as a Senior Manager for New Product Development at onsemi since May 2023. At onsemi, Liqiang leads a team focused on Si/SiC/GaN technology, specifically overseeing EV Traction Power Modules and driving product engineering efforts. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Engineering Manager at GE Aerospace from February 2016 to April 2023, where Liqiang directed SiC power module R&D and acted as the technical lead for strategic initiatives. Early in the career, Liqiang held positions as Senior Engineer and Lead Engineer at GE, managing significant power research projects and medium-high voltage SiC module development. Liqiang began the career as a Research Scientist at Cree, focusing on high-power LED development. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University.
