Mark Phillips

Mark Phillips is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in failure analysis and design within the semiconductor industry. Currently serving as Principal Failure Analysis Engineer at onsemi since June 2020, Mark evaluates the electrical response of integrated circuits and prepares detailed reports for corrective actions. Prior to this role, Mark held the position of Senior Failure Analysis Engineer at Microchip Technology for nearly nine years, and began a career at ON Semiconductor, progressing through various engineering roles, including Failure Analysis Engineer, Design Engineer, and Design Technician. Mark's technical foundation was developed at Cherry Semiconductor Corporation as a Failure Analysis Technician and in the U.S. Navy as Electrician Mate 2, where foundational skills in electrical systems and laboratory techniques were acquired. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island and an Associate Degree in Engineering from the Community College of Rhode Island.
