Michael Carbonell

Michael Carbonell serves as the Photolithography Process Engineering Manager at onsemi, overseeing all related tracks, scanners, and processes since January 2023. Previously, as the Module Engineering Manager at onsemi, Michael directed the successful transition of process teams from GLOBALFOUNDRIES, expanded a team to 27 engineers and technicians, and led projects that saved $3 million annually while improving throughput. Prior to onsemi, Michael held various positions at GLOBALFOUNDRIES, including CVD and PVD Process Engineering Manager, achieving significant savings and certifications, and at IBM, where process improvements were implemented for RF and Silicon photonics technologies. Michael holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida.
