Steven Gray

Steven Gray joined onsemi in December 2021 as senior vice president of new product development and is responsible for developing strategic new products and cutting-edge technology that aligns with our customers.

Dr. Gray has a proven track record through 15 years in executive roles with Silicon Valley high tech companies in telecommunications and semiconductors. Most recently, Dr. Gray served as the senior vice president of engineering at Qualcomm leading product development for the Connectivity, IoT and Automotive business units to substantial growth in revenue and profit.

Prior to Qualcomm, Dr. Gray spent 10 years with Nokia leading research and development on wireless communications, including initial work on 3GPP LTE for 800+ mobile operators globally for 4G communications. He also co-invented Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), now used in every mobile phone and wireless headset.

Steven holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Northeastern University.
