Aleksandra Starzec

Aleksandra Starzec has extensive experience in the field of IT controls and risk management. Aleksandra worked at multiple companies in various roles. In 2014, they started their career as a Web Developer and Python Programmer at Sizeof Sp. z o.o., where they implemented new features in web applications and developed e-commerce solutions. In 2015, they became a Java Programmer at SoftNet Sp. z o.o., where they developed an online banking system and maintained existing services. In 2017, Aleksandra joined CERN as an Openlab Summer Student, working on a project related to volunteer computing. In 2018, they became a Business Analyst and Java Programmer at Avaloq Sourcing (Switzerland & Liechtenstein) Ltd, where they gathered requirements from customers and developed business logic for various functionalities. In 2019, they joined PwC Switzerland as an Assistant IT-Audit and later as a Senior Assistant Digital Assurance, focusing on IT controls and audit procedures for SOx audits. From 2022 to 2023, Aleksandra worked at Credit Suisse as an IT Risks and Controls Officer, overseeing control management programs and managing issue remediation. In 2023, they joined the company On as an Internal Controls Lead - IT. Throughout their career, Aleksandra has demonstrated a strong understanding of IT controls, risk management, and business analysis.

Aleksandra Starzec holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science/IT Systems in Production and Administration, which they obtained from AGH University of Krakow in 2017. Prior to that, they earned an Engineer's degree in Computer Science from the same university in 2016. Additionally, Aleksandra has obtained several certifications, including Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA in 2021 and Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer from Oracle in 2019. Aleksandra also holds a certification in Avaloq Certified Customization Professional, Major in Front Technologies, and has completed the IELTS examination through the British Council.
