Onboard Climate is a philanthropic initiative to scale the global climate sector by helping climate NGOs recruit and hire the talent they need to accelerate their impact. Climate NGOs around the world are facing recruitment and talent bottlenecks, with thousands of roles needed to implement climate solutions at scale. We exist to make the path to climate work easier by building a robust talent pipeline, as well as streamlining how organizations hire.

Onboard Climate serves two primary audiences: job seekers looking to grow or pivot their careers into climate work, and climate NGOs that are ready to scale their teams. For job seekers, we will provide resources and support to help navigate the climate sector and prepare them to translate their transferable skills into impactful roles at climate NGOs. For hiring organizations, we will help streamline recruitment and hiring, offering access to a pipeline of skilled talent and resources needed to build effective, diverse teams. In a space where platforms often cater to either job seekers or employers, Onboard Climate serves both - bridging the gap between supply and demand.

Our platform will be a trusted hub where talent and mission meet. Onboard Climate will leverage industry practices for hiring at scale, backed by technology-enabled products and services, to connect thousands of candidates to opportunities at climate NGOs around the world.

Backed by some of the world’s most influential climate philanthropies, Onboard Climate will be a public service with the singular focus of supporting mission-driven NGOs within the climate sector. Working with major strategic partners around the world, we are positioned to help shape the future of climate work.

Our goal is simple but urgent: to ensure climate NGOs can keep pace with the scale of the crisis they’re working to address. By mobilizing talent and supporting the organizations leading this charge, Onboard Climate is helping to build a workforce for the future.
