John Vines

John Vines is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Onboard Data Inc. since November 2022. Prior to this role, John was a Senior Software Engineer at Amazon from January 2018 to February 2022, where contributions included pivoting the sqrrl product into Amazon Detective and enhancing the input data pipeline while providing technical guidance. John's earlier experience includes serving as a Founding Engineer at sqrrl from August 2012 to January 2018, where expertise in backend systems was developed, and as a Computer Systems Researcher at the US Department of Defense from July 2008 to July 2012, focusing on development for Apache Accumulo.
