Medical Director & Founder at Onco

Dr. Ted Williamson and his wife, Eileen, founded Onco Inc. in 1983 based on the idea that cancer registry data is a unique and powerful tool in the fight against cancer. A career changing decision led to an M.D. at the University of Miami in 1975. Returning to the west coast, he completed his residency in radiation oncology at the University Hospital in Seattle, Washington. His group practice in radiation oncology allowed time to pursue research and development interests, first in radiation treatment planning and then, since 1986, exclusively in cancer registry and related software applications. For nearly two decades, Dr. Williamson served as the President of Onco Inc. In 2000, a small group of software engineers purchased Onco Inc. with the condition that Dr. Williamson stay on as Medical Director of the company. As such, he has been an integral part of the teams developing the newest versions of OncoLog as well as new database applications such as Protocol Data Manager. In addition to his decades of registry work for Onco Inc.,
