Joep Grootjans

Joep Grootjans is a gastroenterologist at Amsterdam UMC and serves as a group leader at the Tytgat Institute. They completed a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) with honors at Maastricht University, followed by a Ph.D. in the Department of Surgery at the same institution. Joep’s residency training includes roles in internal medicine and gastroenterology at various esteemed hospitals, including AMC and Slotervaartziekenhuis Amsterdam. They also held a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School before becoming an Oncode PI in 2023.
